I became concerned after reading about two entries concerning a trojan virus on the Power DVD time patch. I just updated my Norton Anvivirus today. I scanned all files required to install and run Power DVD with Norton's and Backwork (trojan virus detector) and they all came up clean! It's possible that the two earlier references got a bad download? The player is working fine on my computer with no problems. Having a cable modem, I run Norton, Backwork and Black Ice any time the computer is turned on. I know there's some very smart folks out there, but this protection system has worked for me so far! I was fed up with my computer crashing so bought a copy of windows 98. I found it difficult to locate all of the drivers to use my sound card etc but finnally suceeded. The last but most difficult job was getting software to play my DVD's. Well I have ATI and a version of Elsa encrypted on my master CD's. PB will not tell me how to access them apart from using the setup disc and installing all the other junk. Thanks for providing be with a oppurtunity to download the software that I havew already bought but PB won't let me use. |
